Nothing Means Nothing, #5

Jon could not fly a fighter jet in the Air Force because he was colorblind.

We spent a whole afternoon studying YouTube videos about an alleged fix for his ailment. I exclaimed after an hour that it appeared that all of these videos about the glasses that fix this—so he could see all of the colors as we see them—were coming from the same company, called EnChroma.
Fake, I said. What a wicked scam.

Still, we were both intrigued.
Jon was afraid, and so was I.
What if they worked?
What would he see if he put on those glasses?
And should he? Would he be traumatized, worse off than before? Could he go back? What is going back?

We never made an appointment at their Santa Monica location.
